Cast-in-place concrete contributes more to climate change than any other building material. The Concrete Working Group is dedicated to educating all stakeholders about concrete’s embodied carbon impacts and how these impacts can be reduced. We also advocate for voluntary and regulatory actions to reduce these impacts. We welcome participation from all interested stakeholders.
In 2024 our our group worked with the Jampart Foundation to identify regional roadblocks to low-carbon concrete. The report is now available to download on the right side of this page. We also developed Buy Clean Recommendations for concrete to state policy-makers.

In 2025 we plan to continue working on state and local policy recommendations and education related to concrete and to host guest speakers to keep us updated on the latest developments in low-carbon concrete.
